MeMakeFood ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

- Pantry Ingredients: Items you add to your pantry
- Recipe Preferences: Dietary restrictions, cuisine preferences, disliked ingredients
- Meal Plans: Recipes you schedule and mark as complete
- Shopping Lists: Items you add to your shopping list
- Favorite Recipes: Recipes you save as favorites
Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: iOS version, device model (for troubleshooting)
- Usage Analytics: Anonymous app usage statistics
- Subscription Status: Whether you have an active MeMakeFood Plus subscription
Information We Do NOT Collect

How We Use Your Information
Local Storage
Your pantry items, recipes, meal plans, and preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS Core Data. We do not upload this data to our servers.
AI Recipe Generation
When you generate recipes:
- Your pantry ingredients and preferences are sent to OpenAI's API via our secure Cloudflare Worker
- This data is used solely to generate recipes
- We do not store your ingredient data on our servers
- OpenAI's data retention policy applies (typically 30 days, then deleted)
Third-Party Services
OpenAI (Recipe Generation)
- Purpose: Generate creative recipes from your ingredients
- Data Shared: Pantry ingredients, dietary preferences

- Data Retention: 30 days (per OpenAI policy)
Apple (Subscriptions)
- Purpose: Process MeMakeFood Plus subscriptions
- Data Shared: Subscription status only

Your Rights
Access and Control
- View Data: All your data is visible in the app
- Delete Data: Settings → Data & Storage → Delete All Data
- Export: Use share functionality to export recipes
Account Deletion
Since we don't maintain user accounts, simply deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
MeMakeFood is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
